ADC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

All over the country Arab Americans are offering teachers classroom materials on Arab culture, history and religion. They are giving presentations to classes, organizing teacher-training workshops and donating books to school libraries. They are also responding to the many flaws in textbooks and the occasional ethnic or religious insensitivity of teachers or students.
ADC's program of "Reaching the Teachers" utilizes this grassroots network of chapters, activists and members, including many parents of school-aged children, to reach out to teachers, schools and school systems.
The Education Department also administers an internship program which provides an enriching experience for college students in the media, legal, organizing and education departments.
