ADC-CPAO Advocacy Day 2015

Please join the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and the Coalition of Palestinian American Organizations (CPAO) for a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill.

When: Monday, November 16, 2015
9:30AM – 4:00PM
Where: Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

The ADC-CPAO Advocacy Day is a great opportunity for Arab-Americans to participate directly in our democracy by learning about issues that affect the Arab-American community and then going out and meeting with members of the U.S. Congress who have the power to shape these issues.

The advocacy day will kick off at 9:30AM with a Congressional Briefing in the U.S. House of Representatives. Panelists will discuss topics including Ending U.S. Weapons to Israel, Addressing Israeli border discrimination targeting Arab-Americans, and Achieving Justice for Alex Odeh.

Following the panel briefing, advocacy day participants will meet with Congress to advocate on issues of importance to the Arab-American community, including issues discussed in the briefing.  Please come prepared to meet with your U.S. Representative and Senators. Congress needs to hear from the diverse voices of the Arab-American community.

The day will conclude with a debriefing at 3:30PM to allow advocacy participants to report back on their meetings. More details to come!

Please fill out the Advocacy Day registration form below so that ADC can help coordinate meetings with congressional offices.
