ADC Thanks, Congratulates Yousef Munayyer


Washington, DC | September 24, 2009 | | The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination (ADC) offers its most heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Yousef Munayyer, ADC Communications Director and Policy Analyst for his years of exceptional service to ADC and to the Arab-American community. Mr. Munayyer will be leaving ADC as of September 25, and has accepted the position of Executive Director at The Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development. ADC congratulates Yousef on his new position, wishes him the very best, and knows he will continue to be successful in the future, contributing further to our Arab-American cause.

ADC President Mary Rose Oakar said, “ Yousef has been with ADC for 5 years, first as an intern in the Communications Department. He then industriously worked as a full time employee as a Finance Manager, Communications Director and Policy Analyst. His ability and loyalty to ADC, its National Board, Members and Staff will always be cherished. We will miss him, but know he will do an excellent job for the Jerusalem Fund.”

ADC National Executive Director Kareem Shora said, “Yousef is one of the most dedicated activists and sophisticated academic experts with whom ADC has had the pleasure of working. We will greatly miss his intellectual analyses and his expertise, especially on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," Shora said, "at the same time we congratulate the Jerusalem Fund for their tremendous gain and look forward to working with Yousef in his new capacity as an ally and colleague.”

Yousef Munayyer said, “It‘s been a pleasure to work with ADC and its many committed volunteers, members and staff over the past few years. I was an active member of ADC before joining the staff and will always be a friend to this organization. ”
