Civil Rights: A Decade of Challenges

Washington, DC | April 27, 2011 | - The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce the Panel Members for the "Civil Rights: A Decade of Challenges” Panel. This civil rights and civil liberties Panel will be presented on Friday, June 10, 2011 (2:30 PM to 4:00 PM), during ADC's National Convention.








The Panel will feature Professor David D. Cole, Georgetown University Law Center; Professor Deborah A. Ramirez, Northeastern University School of Law; Alia Malek, author and civil rights attorney; and Michael E. Rolince, retired FBI Special Agent. ADC Legal Director, Abed Ayoub, will be the moderator. The Panelists will look back at the challenges of the last decade, and discuss the challenges and opportunities of the next decade – covering civil rights, civil liberties, and other related issues. The Panel Members are highly experienced in dealing with current issues of our time, and will express views from an array of perspectives – providing a realistic portrayal of the challenges faced in the past, current challenges facing us today, and the challenges that we will be facing in the future and what we need to do to meet or overcome those challenges.

The National Convention is from June 10 – 12, 2011, at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, DC. The theme of this year’s National Convention is “Defining Our Role in a Changing World.
