ADC to Host Cast from All-American Muslim

Episode # 7 is Must See TV!

Next week the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) will be hosting a special community forum with cast members from the TLC docu-series All-American Muslim.  The evening is an exclusive opportunity for ADC's interfaith and civil rights coalition partners, who have been working tirelessly on the critical issues surrounding this series, to hear directly from the cast members about their personal experiences and feelings about the show.

All-American Muslim is a groundbreaking 8-part docu-series from TLC created to give audiences a window into the oft-misrepresented American Muslim community in the spirit of diversity and mutual understanding.

The forum will be hosted the evening of January 4th in Washington, DC.  The event is by invitation only, if you are interested in attending please e-mail Ms. Marwa Bakabas  The event is open to the press.

Must See TV - Episode #7:  The Day the World Changed

The forum will be held a few days after the airing of Episode #7 on January 1st. Episode #7 of All-American Muslim epitomizes what we hope will be the show's legacy: forging the bonds of unity in the wake of tragedy. The Day the World Changed centers on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and its lasting impact, as the greater Dearborn community comes together to commemorate and reflect upon the tragedy. At the city-wide public memorial service, an Imam, a Rabbi, and a Priest pray together in solidarity for Peace and Unity. This revealing episode is arguably the most complex and nuanced take on the terror attacks from an American Muslim perspective ever seen on television.

ADC encourages you to watch All-American Muslim this Sunday at 10:00 PM on TLC.  It truly is Must See Television, and tuning is the single most immediate step that we can collectively take to support the show, the network that had the courage to produce it, as well as the ever-important advertisers that have stood-by their American values.
