Network of Arab American Lawyers of ADC (NAALA) Update

ADC is pleased to announce upcoming plans for the Network of Arab American Lawyers of ADC, also known as NAALA.
The next year is expected to be one of exponential growth for NAALA, providing attorneys and legal professionals the opportunity to be fully engaged in the work that supports ADC and the community. Over the course of the next year plans for NAALA include substantive panels, continuing legal education programs (CLE), implementation of education programs, and the hosting of nationwide networking events. The initiative offers the opportunity to connect with Arab American attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals across the nation.
NAALA members are kept abreast of ADC’s legal work as well as key issues affecting the Arab American and legal communities. ADC is also developing a Legal Resource Guide which will include “Know Your Rights” information, information about legal assistance, as well as a national listing of attorneys in the network. This guide will be made available online and in print and distributed biannually to all ADC members.
Launched in October of 2011, NAALA has grown continuously into a successful initiative with several dedicated members. Since its inception, ADC has hosted a number of successful NAALA events, which can be found here. In June NAALA had an extremely successful meeting at the ADC National Convention where the initiative was discussed in detail and plans were made for NAALA’s future.
