All applicants must submit Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected and Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

To allow for processing time, all work permits for TPS re-registering applicants expiring September 3, 2018 are automatically renewed through March 2, 2019, to ensure there is no interruption in employment authorization.  To obtain a work permit valid to March 3, 2020 you must submit a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

To be eligible for TPS, a Yemeni individual must have continuously resided in the U.S. since January 4, 2017, and has been physically present since March 4, 2017. Re-registration requires a fee. If an individual demonstrates an inability to pay the fee, you may apply for a fee waiver here

The Department of Homeland Security will reconsider Yemen’s TPS designation in January 2020.
