Washington, DC – Today the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) will be represented by Legal Department Director Kareem Shora on the Al-Jazeera news television network. Shora will appear on Al-Jazeera’s primetime news (“Hasad Al-Yaoum”) which airs from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST (10:00 to 11:00 pm in most of the Middle East).
Shora will be discussing the recent developments concerning the US Senate’s decision to temporarily reauthorize the USA PATRIOT Act for six months to allow Congress time to evaluate the controversial sections. These sections were scheduled to automatically expire at the end of this month. Please note, as with all live television programming this is subject to change without notice.
