ADC Michigan & CAIR-MI Hold Press Conference to Announce Federal Lawsuit

Dearborn, MI | www.adcmich.org | November 12, 2014 – The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee Michigan Office (ADC-Michigan) and CAIR-Michigan held a press conference this morning in front of Advance America Cash Advance in Inkster, MI after the company refused to provide services to a woman wearing hijab. 

The ADC-Michigan and CAIR-MI filed a federal lawsuit against Advance America Cash Advance. ADC-Michigan Director Attorney Fatina Abdrabboh noted “business owners all over Michigan need to know that we will never tolerate any form of discrimination against any members of our community and that we will continue to demand that all Arabs and Muslims in America be treated with respect and dignity irrespective of how they look”.
