Dr. Hala Salaam Maksoud

One of the most influential and important leaders in ADC’s history, Dr. Maksoud helped Sen. James Abourezk start ADC in 1980, and served as ADC’s president from 1996 to 2001.

“Hala was a visionary leader who charted a path to empowerment we will be following for many years to come,” said former ADC President Ziad Asali.

This week marks the twelfth anniversary of Dr. Maksoud’s passing on April 26, 2002.
