ADC is a proud member of the following coalitions:
As a member of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, ADC joins more than 200 organizations committed to the protection and advancement of civil and human rights for every person in the United States. The Leadership Conference has become the nerve center for fighting discrimination in all its forms and expanding opportunity and fairness for all Americans.
ADC is a partner of B Stigma-Free, a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps create a kinder society so people with differences are accepted, respected and included for who they are. Through Cross-Identity Collaboration™ they partner with stakeholders to educate and engage the community to reduce bias and prejudice.
ADC is a member of Refugees Are Welcome, a coalition of humanitarian, religious, and non-profit organizations working together to create welcoming communities for refugees. In response to the increased attention around the Syrian refugee crisis in particular and the recent increase in hateful, anti-refugee political rhetoric, this initiative brings together diverse allies to show that communities, businesses, faith communities, and political leaders across the United States are ready to welcome all refugees, regardless of their country of origin, religion, or ethnic group.
ADC is a supporter of Teach to Lead, a joint effort of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and the U.S. Department of Education to advance student outcomes by expanding opportunities for teacher leadership, particularly those that allow teachers to stay in the classroom. The initiative seeks to spur fundamental changes in the culture of schools and the teaching profession so that teachers can play a more central role in the development of policies that affect their work.
