Anaheim, CA | adc.org | September 22, 2023 — We have some exciting news to share with you! In addition to Peter A. Hanna’s highly anticipated oud performance, we’re pleased to announce that Jafra Dabke Group will also grace the stage at this year’s Alex Odeh Memorial Banquet.
The 2023 Alex Odeh Memorial Conference and Banquet will take place from October 6th to 7th at the Delta Hotels Anaheim Garden Grove, with the special performance by Jafra Dabke Group scheduled for the evening of Saturday, October 7th.
Formed by the Palestinian American Women’s Association in early 2023, the Jafra Dabke Group offers Palestinian women in Southern California a unique platform to express their cultural and political identities. Named after the iconic Palestinian folktale hero, Jafra, the group exemplifies the role of Palestinian women in the struggle for their homeland, irrespective of the geographical distance or separation they face.
