Washington, DC | www.adc.org | December 11, 2017 – The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce that our annual “Turaath” event will feature Yousef Shamoun & the Tarab Ensemble! Join us for an eclectic night of music from across the Arab world! Tarab, often translated as musical ecstasy— is a genre of Arabic music that refers to a state of emotional enchantment experienced by its listener. The concert will feature contemporary Tarab as well as songs originally performed by Um Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, & more!
