ADC Events:

  • Fri. Dec. 5th at 8:00PM at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. ADC invites you to Turaath: Arab Music from Baghdad to Andalusia. This year’s event will celebrate the intersections of Arab and Spanish culture, featuring the legendary oud and violin composer Simon Shaheen. Click here for details and tickets.  

Nationwide:

  • Call for Arab-American Art Proposals: The sixth biennial convening of DIWAN: A Forum for the Arts will be held at the Arab American National Museum on May 7-9, 2015, in Dearborn, Michigan. The deadline for proposal submissions is Dec. 15, 2014. Click here for details. 

  • The application for the 2015-2016 Class of White House Fellows is now available. The deadline to apply is Jan. 15, 2015Click here for details.

  • Thurs. Nov. 20 in Washington, D.C. The Middle East Institute will host its 68th Annual Conference, including a Keynote Luncheon with Ambassador William J. Burns. Click here for details. 

  • Fri. Nov. 21 at 12:00PM-2:30PM in Washington, D.C. The Institute for Palestine Studies will host a panel entitled The Legal Assault on Palestinian Rights ActivismClick here for details.

Michigan:
